A seasoned college administrator and financial manager with more than a decade of experience in his field, Albert Alt currently serves as Vice Chancellor of Administrative Services for the Yuba Community College District in Marysville, California. Commanding a highly diversified professional background, Mr. Alt began to lay the foundations for his career while an undergraduate at San Jose State University. Following receipt of his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration, Albert Alt sent on to California State University, Chico, where he continued to build upon his outstanding academic record. With a 3.9 GPA, Mr. Alt earned his Master of Business Administration, with Distinction, from Chico State in 1999, after which he launched a multifaceted career in management.
A June 2000 recipient of a Master Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University, Albert Alt subsequently assumed the role of Director of Resource Management with a Palo Alto technology startup, Synapta Corporation. One year later, Mr. Alt left Synapta to accept an offer from the Feather River Community College District, as Director of Human Resources and Affirmative Action. At the end of his tenure with Feather River, Albert Alt joined the team at the Yuba Community College District, serving as Director of Personnel Services and Human Resources over a six-year period. Since then, Mr. Alt has earned a promotion to Vice Chancellor of Administrative Services at YCCD, overseeing a $200 million construction program and $45 million general fund budget, among other duties.
Aside from his work at YCCD, Albert Alt teaches in the Master of Science in Higher Education program at Drexel University’s Sacramento Center for Graduate Studies, where he is also pursuing a Doctorate in Education Administration.
